Inspiring views, yield inspiring thoughts. I started my application for the Norwegian Academy of Music to pursue an artist diploma in voice! The audition consists of 25 minutes of solo music of your choice…I love this already. (at The Allis at Soho House Chicago) || @agentlewoman on Instagram

Sometimes you need to refocus on what you’re doing with your life and sometimes you need a huge image change. Thank you @itsmevalentine for bringing out the dark lady in me 🖤 #shorthairdontcare #barbaraandbarbara #pixiehaircut #madebygoogle (at Barbara&Barbara Salon) || @agentlwoman on instagram

Winter sunsets are my favorite! The holiday season is in full swing in Chicago and I love it. The Christkindlmarket, zoolights, ice-skating, lights on the trees and of course lots of holiday music! What are your favorite holiday traditions? || @agentlewoman on instagram

Ever since July it seems like my world has constantly been an uphill battle with no rest in sight. With every unexpected blow came a new surprise, then another blow followed by more surprises.
No one tells you that life will be like this; a series of failures whether your fault or not that ultimately leads you to something else just to lead to more failures and more gain.
It’s like being on an endless merry-go-round of emotional and mental turmoil, but sometimes the ride stops just for a second for you to get your bearings again before, “BAM” the ride starts again.
I’m very lucky though. I have a husband that loves me, a roof over my head and somehow the will to continue to make music even when I’m feeling at my worst. I guess that’s the life as an artist; make art even when you feel like a failure. Overcome the odds with beauty.
So be kind. Be kind to yourself and the person sitting across from you at the cafe because you never know when the merry-go-round will stop just for a second and surprise you.
xoxo,
Daina
